At the recently concluded MTN Champs Finale held in Abuja, some of the nation’s brightest young stars displayed incredible performances on the track at one of the country’s largest secondary school competitions ever hosted. The four-stop tour across Nigeria held its finale at Moshood Abiola National Stadium in the nation's capital where some of the best marks of the inaugural series were achieved. Here are some of the best gold medal winning performances from MTN Champs Abuja.

The 19-year-old ran a personal best of 10.74 seconds in the 100m final (from Lane 10!) and won the 200m final with a dominating 21.68 second run.

One of the most electric matchups of the finale was in the U17 final between Eniola Shiro and Michael Aniche. Shiro, a 17-year-old from No Sweat Track Club, won the 400m title at the Ibadan meet. Aniche, a 15-year-old from Baptist Vocational, won the 400m title at the Benin meet. Both athletes gave their all and ran personal bests with Shiro claiming the title running 50.11 seconds while Aniche ran 50.86 seconds.
